The Air lamp highlights the natural beauty of fine wood veneer, its light grain lending a refined and distinctive character. Designed by Ray Power, it reflects his mastery of transforming flat materials into sculptural, three-dimensional forms. With gentle pleats and a poised cantilevered head, Air embodies elegance and calm precision.
In its table version, the cantilevered design proves especially ingenious. The award-winning Air Table lamp diffuses light both upward and downward, offering the perfect balance of function and serenity—ideal for desks, nightstands, or reading corners.
Available in Natural Cherry, Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Grey, Pale Rose, and Sea Blue wood veneers.
LZF Lamps, founded in 1994 near Valencia by Mariví Calvo and Sandro Tothill, pioneered “enveloping light” in wood veneer. Today, the brand crafts sculptural, sustainable designs that blend artistry and warmth, celebrated worldwide.
Irish-born designer Ray Power has collaborated with LZF Lamps since 1998. With an inventive approach to lighting design, he has created many of LZF’s best known lights. Ray’s Air (2008), Link (2007) and New Wave (2015) lamps for LZF were awarded the Red Dot, Chicago Good Design and Chicago Green Good Design awards respectively. Most recently, his Swirl pendant was accorded a 2017 Special Mention by the German Design Council. Ray’s work has been exhibited on the international stage: in Milan, Valencia, Dublin, Madrid and Tokyo. His trademark style is based on geometry and he shows an inherent propensity to create stirring three-dimensional forms with flat materials.
