Giovanni Minelli’s collection draws inspiration from Archimedean polyhedrons and advanced aluminum sheet manufacturing techniques, merging geometry with craftsmanship. The outer shell is a hand-crafted, multi-faceted aluminum structure, while the interior conceals an acrylic element that softens the light through a glowing dome.
The Crio series offers pendant lamps in three diameters—2′, 4′, and 6′—designed for indoor use and available in a range of finishes. The diffuser, made of opaline PMMA (polymethyl-methacrylate), is offered in white painted aluminum or dark wood veneer, with custom RAL or Pantone colors available upon request.

Giovanni Minelli was born in Bergamo on December 15, 1976. While studying at the Brera Art School, he attended industrial design courses led by D. Boriani and Roberto Semprini. It was during this formative period that his first projects emerged—works positioned between art objects and industrial design. These unique pieces were soon introduced into the contemporary art gallery circuit. Minelli’s talent quickly drew attention, leading to invitations to significant exhibitions and sector presentations. This exposure established him within the emerging art-design movement and brought him closer to Italy’s rising design companies. At a young age, he also produced unique pieces and installations for contemporary art events and took part in The Italian Design for UNICEF project, exhibited at the inauguration of the Italian Museum of Design in Milan during the Triennale. In his practice, Minelli fuses his artistic roots with the research and technologies of industrial design, creating works that bridge creativity and innovation.
