In a clever play of contrasts, Acustica takes its inspiration from a drum cymbal—the very opposite of quiet. Its broad, slender shade is engineered to absorb surrounding noise, delivering a high degree of acoustic comfort. Available as a pendant or wall/ceiling fixture in five standard finishes, a wide range of custom colors, and three generous diameters, Acustica offers a refined solution for both new projects and retrofits in public environments such as restaurants, executive offices, and spacious waiting areas. The pendant’s shade tilts from level to inclined for dynamic compositions around a central fixed light source, while the wall and ceiling versions introduce geometric accents with the same balance of acoustic performance and soft illumination.me blend of ambient illumination and acoustic ease.

Giovanni Minelli was born in Bergamo on December 15, 1976. While studying at the Brera Art School, he attended industrial design courses led by D. Boriani and Roberto Semprini. It was during this formative period that his first projects emerged—works positioned between art objects and industrial design. These unique pieces were soon introduced into the contemporary art gallery circuit. Minelli’s talent quickly drew attention, leading to invitations to significant exhibitions and sector presentations. This exposure established him within the emerging art-design movement and brought him closer to Italy’s rising design companies. At a young age, he also produced unique pieces and installations for contemporary art events and took part in The Italian Design for UNICEF project, exhibited at the inauguration of the Italian Museum of Design in Milan during the Triennale. In his practice, Minelli fuses his artistic roots with the research and technologies of industrial design, creating works that bridge creativity and innovation.
