LZF is a story of people, wood and light and the result of a peculiar encounter between two strangers. When they met, they both loved their hands and what they were capable of doing with them. Both shared a passion for the arts, for ideas, and experimenting. They coincided in their way of living and their very distinct view of the world. With an absolute belief that everything you feel can be materialised, they began to experiment. Till one night, playing with some wood veneers, they managed to envelop light. LZF was born.
Madrid-based designer Candela Cort is a graduate in Fine Arts. Experimenting with a range of creative disciplines, she found a particular joy in designing hats. Her tools are her hands and the sewing machine, allowing Cort to give shape to fantasy, to make beautiful things, and bring a little joy to the world. For Cort, true luxury is inseparable from simplicity. She enjoys working with humble and recycled materials, becoming a master of the circular economy.
