The architectural light. I-Line is a smooth and sleek lamp, with a clean, architectural line. Designed by long-time LZF collaborator Burkhard Dämmer, I-Line is available in two sizes: medium and large suspension. I-Line’s unfussy design is perfect in places and spaces that call for a practical, yet elegant, luminaire: above a countertop or a work table, for example. I-Line’s wood veneer, dimmable LED, and light-filtering diffuser, provide both direct and ambient light. In I-Line, Burkhard Dämmer has created a lamp that is simple, symmetrical and serene.

LZF is a story of people, wood and light and the result of a peculiar encounter between two strangers. When they met, they both loved their hands and what they were capable of doing with them. Both shared a passion for the arts, for ideas, and experimenting. They coincided in their way of living and their very distinct view of the world. With an absolute belief that everything you feel can be materialised, they began to experiment. Till one night, playing with some wood veneers, they managed to envelop light. LZF was born.
German-born designer Burkhard Dämmer has a background in cabinetmaking and an education in industrial design. To Burkhard, the concept of design means finding good answers to new and old problems. He considers working with veneer and light a special challenge, and has created a number of handsome lights for LZF. As well as designs for LZF, Burkhard has worked with a range of companies in the fields of lighting, accessories, kitchenware, bathrooms and furniture. A widely published and award-winning designer, his numerous prizes include the German Design Award 2017 and Chicago Good Design Award 2015, for the Dandelion for LZF and European Product Design Award 2018, for the Cervantes.
