The piquant light. Designed by Ray Power, Lola showcases the designer’s ability to create imaginative three-dimensional forms. Lola is a conical lamp with an intricate geometric pattern. A veritable labour of love, Lola’s shape went through many iterations, drawings and prototypes, before arriving at the finished form. A particularly piquant Spanish name, Lola is very much alive, sensuous, and intriguing. An avant-garde lamp, Lola’s complex woven veneer construction is beautifully accentuated when lit. Lola Table is delightfully piquant—a spicy table lamp, filled with character and charm. The Lola Table is available in Small and Medium sizes, ideally suited to a side table or countertop. The Lola Table is available in Ivory White or Natural Beech wood veneers. The metal base is available in Black, Matt Ivory and Gold finishes.

LZF is a story of people, wood and light and the result of a peculiar encounter between two strangers. When they met, they both loved their hands and what they were capable of doing with them. Both shared a passion for the arts, for ideas, and experimenting. They coincided in their way of living and their very distinct view of the world. With an absolute belief that everything you feel can be materialised, they began to experiment. Till one night, playing with some wood veneers, they managed to envelop light. LZF was born.
Irish-born designer Ray Power has collaborated with LZF Lamps since 1998. With an inventive approach to lighting design, he has created many of LZF’s best known lights. Ray’s Air (2008), Link (2007) and New Wave (2015) lamps for LZF were awarded the Red Dot, Chicago Good Design and Chicago Green Good Design awards respectively. Most recently, his Swirl pendant was accorded a 2017 Special Mention by the German Design Council. Ray’s work has been exhibited on the international stage: in Milan, Valencia, Dublin, Madrid and Tokyo. His trademark style is based on geometry and he shows an inherent propensity to create stirring three-dimensional forms with flat materials.
