The steadfast light. Designed by Mariví Calvo, Gea is a classic example of a lamp whose form is thoroughly unpretentious. Gea’s circular structure showcases the clean lines of thoughtful design: a lamp that is decorative, unobtrusive, and timeless. Gea’s classic form is ideally suited to a range of environments, both commercial and residential. Gea Suspension is available in three sizes: Small, Large, and Slim. Each size is perfect as an individual pendant, perhaps suspended above a table or in a cosy corner. The Gea Suspension will also make a striking lighting cluster, especially when combining different sizes. The Gea Small and Large Suspension lamps use a traditional E27 lightbulb and incorporate a matt satin acrylic diffuser. Gea Slim uses an integrated LED light source and has the option of a black or white top diffuser, and a matt satin acrylic bottom diffuser. The Gea Suspension is available in the following wood veneers: Natural Cherry, Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Grey, Pale Rose, and Sea Blue.

LZF is a story of people, wood and light and the result of a peculiar encounter between two strangers. When they met, they both loved their hands and what they were capable of doing with them. Both shared a passion for the arts, for ideas, and experimenting. They coincided in their way of living and their very distinct view of the world. With an absolute belief that everything you feel can be materialised, they began to experiment. Till one night, playing with some wood veneers, they managed to envelop light. LZF was born.
Mariví Calvo is the main partner and creative director of LZF, a company she co-founded together with Sandro Tothill in 1994. Designing and making handmade wood veneer lighting fixtures, LZF would grow to become an internationally acclaimed concern. An experienced avant-garde artist, Mariví has developed and directed all aspects of LZF’s creative art department. She has designed a number of lamps that are emblematic of LZF’s imaginative approach to lighting, including the Guijarros, Gea and Cosmos collections, and the majestic Candelabroas well as collaborating in the creation of the Totem and Armadillo and Koi lamps. In addition, Mariví is responsible for the design of every LZF exhibit and creates the company’s prizewinning campaigns.
