The infinite fascination of design consists in interweaving skills, intuition and technology to explore different fields Marco Acerbis was born in Lombardy in 1973. From 1997 to 2004 he lives and works in London where he collaborates with the studio Foster & Partners. During these years he was involved in the construction of an eight-storey building for scientific research at Imperial College and became Project Leader of Capital City Academy, a high school for 1400 students, 250 meters long and inaugurated Tony Blair. In 2004, back in Italy, he opened his own architecture and design studio. Fascinated by design without limits of scale, he quickly explores with a constant interweaving of skills, insights and technologies countless themes, with the aim of creating a global project space. The Vertigo lamp, designed for Fontana Arte, quickly becomes both a best seller and a timeless icon and is included in the permanent collection of the Vitra Design Museum. The Prius handle designed for Colombo Design wins the Honorable Mention at the XXI Compasso d’Oro. Kloe armchair designed for Desalto wins the Red Dot Design Award 2009. His interest in the themes of contemporary living also led him to actively engage in the world of eco-sustainable architecture with the construction of POLINS, Strategic Innovation Pole, building certified Casaclima Class A+.
