Faro consists of two glasses harmoniously connected by a metal ring. The first glass, with a transparent colored finish, appears to be connected to the second white glass that hides the LED source. The light is diffused, uniform and non-dazzling. Available in two sizes, in both pendant and ceiling versions. The lighthouse is the link between the sea and the mainland; its light is a point of reference, which transmits stability and security. The Faro collection, designed for Vistosi by Oriano Favaretto, is inspired by the light signalling system from which it takes its name. The two glasses, one with a coloured transparent finish, the other glossy white, respectively evoke the clear waters of the Venetian lagoon and mainland. The metal ring that harmoniously joins them is the lighthouse: a central and safe element. The metal frame is available in a matte black or brass finish. The LED light source is hidden in the white glass, which gives a diffused, uniform and non-sparkling light, just like a beacon for sailors or fishermen who view it from the sea. Faro is a design element that becomes the centre of the space in which it is installed, visible and perfectly recognisable from any position.

It is rare for a company to be able to tell the stages of such a long history. In fact, Vistosi was born in the last millennium, almost six centuries ago in the cradle that gave birth to the most referenced glass masters in this now almost lost artisan art. Vistosi today is a 2.0 craft industry with one of the largest owned glass mills in Europe, an in-house research and development department, an workshop, and a network of established and qualified local suppliers. Definitely one of the few companies where the value chain is managed to guarantee constant product quality. In fact, if Made in Italy is still one of the most successful brands today, it is thanks to companies like Vistosi that have managed to innovate without penalising product quality.
Oriano Favaretto was born in 1956 in Silea (Treviso). During his five years at the Academy, he met and exchange views with Emilio Vedova, a treasured teacher of gestures and signs. These discussions would leave an indelible mark on his life as a designer. In the following years he had the chance to meet Ennio Chiggio, becoming first an apprentice and then a collaborator. Oriano Favaretto is an independent designer, an all-round artist, always looking for new shapes and strong contents. A visionary who is constantly looking for an ideal balance between the function and shape of the object. Over time, he has developed important collaborations in the lighting, bathroom and furniture sectors, creating successful products. There are numerous leading companies in the field of industrial design with which he collaborates: Bross, Artemide, Itre, De Majo, Selène, Venini, Linea Light, Viabizzuno, Icosmic Bagni, Regia, Evaluz, Moretti Andrea and Vistosi. Today he is also Art Director for Mastella Bagni. In his studio, founded a few years ago, he has employed in-house collaborators and freelancers to inject new creative vigor into his ideas and research projects, including those in the photographic and graphic fields.
