The effortless light. The light, fine grain of the Air lamp’s wood veneer is both distinctive and attractive. Air beautifully demonstrates the design potential of wood veneer—its shape exhibits Ray Power’s characteristic penchant for imaginative three-dimensional forms. The Air’s pleats and folds work to create a graceful lamp. Its cantilevered head is poised and radiates an air of serenity. The Air Wall lamp is especially distinctive and striking when viewed from different angles. Its soft light is diffused upwards and downwards, illuminating any space with a pleasing glow. The Air Wall is available in the following wood veneers: Natural Cherry, Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Grey, Pale Rose, and Sea Blue.

LZF is a story of people, wood and light and the result of a peculiar encounter between two strangers. When they met, they both loved their hands and what they were capable of doing with them. Both shared a passion for the arts, for ideas, and experimenting. They coincided in their way of living and their very distinct view of the world. With an absolute belief that everything you feel can be materialised, they began to experiment. Till one night, playing with some wood veneers, they managed to envelop light. LZF was born.
Irish-born designer Ray Power has collaborated with LZF Lamps since 1998. With an inventive approach to lighting design, he has created many of LZF’s best known lights. Ray’s Air (2008), Link (2007) and New Wave (2015) lamps for LZF were awarded the Red Dot, Chicago Good Design and Chicago Green Good Design awards respectively. Most recently, his Swirl pendant was accorded a 2017 Special Mention by the German Design Council. Ray’s work has been exhibited on the international stage: in Milan, Valencia, Dublin, Madrid and Tokyo. His trademark style is based on geometry and he shows an inherent propensity to create stirring three-dimensional forms with flat materials.
