Multispot

Multispot

The dazzling richness of the modular system Multispot was designed to give designers the flexibility to use contemporary aesthetics as a standalone element or to create entirely one-of-a-kind concepts with classic glass, crystal, and aluminum shapes enhanced with light. Offered in three standard pendant elements- the Tooby, Beluga, and Ari, Multispot can adapt to suit any environment through various mounting systems ranging from cover plates, round, square, rectilinear, custom canopies, and even a trimless option. Multispot Tooby, a 16β€³ Pyrex glass tube with an internal ribbed acrylic reflector and mirrored base, has a 3-dimensional lighting effect throughout the length of the tube. 2.1W and 200 initial lumens at the source, 2700K color temperature. Originally conceived to house a reflector lamp, Multispot Beluga is a reinvention of the classic Beluga glass. The crystal glass shade houses an LED source diffused by a frosted glass element. 2.1W with 200 initial lumens at the source, 3000K color temperature. Multispot Ari combines the minimal and pure pendant elements of the Ari collection with the configurability of the Multispot system and the versatility of 24V lighting. The aluminum cylinders are offered in 12β€³, 23.5β€³, 35.5β€³, and 47.25β€³ lengths, in a choice of white, black, or bronze finish, and a selection of cord lengths up to 32β€²! 4W with 360 lumens in 3000K or 3500K. Multispot offers standard configurations, customizable components, 24V options, and bespoke site-specific solutions.

About the Artist

Marc Sadler Born in Austria, a French citizen, Marc Sadler has lived and worked for many years in Europe, North America and Asia. He currently lives in Milan where he is a consultant for companies in the fields of home furnishings, large and small household appliances, lighting, technically andvanced products and sports. In all of these areas, experimentation with plastics has often formed a key part of his acivity. In the late sixties, when design was known only as esthetique industrielle, he already showed a strong curiosity for the subject, choosing it for his thesis at ENSAD, Paris, where he graduated in 1968. At the beginning of the seventies, he perfected the first ski-boot in thermo plastic material, subsequently commercialised by the Italian firm Caber (later known as Lotto). This marked the start of a long and fruitful collaboration which led to the patenting of the ski-boot with a symmetric shell, which was for many years the most widely-sold ski-boot in the world. It was this project which was at the origin of his early specialisation as a sports designer, and which led to close collaboration with the most important multinational sport companies in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Working in this sector, which has often pioneered research into new materials and techniques, provided the experience which would later enable him to bring innovation to more traditional areas. His work has won many international design awards over the years: his Motorcyclist’s Back Protector (designed for Dainese) is now housed in the permanent collection of design at the MOMA in New York and the lamp Mite (Foscarini) is part of the design collection of the Beaubourg in Paris. Despite his reputation as a technical designer, Marc Sadler has a strong feeling for painting, finding it so emotionally absorbing as to consider it his real passion. Flynn Talbot Flynn Talbot operates a specialized lighting design studio which is currently based in Perth, Australia and moving to London by September 2015. Flynn Talbot Studio was established in 2010 to develop unique lighting products and light installations. Talbot’s work begins with the consideration of the β€œlight effect” first, and each project is crafted around it. Every decision and detail is made with the quality of light and user connection in mind. This method creates timeless products and a strong point of difference in his work. Talbot has lived and worked in London (UK), Berlin (Germany) and Perth (Australia).
